Tinker and I had an arty kind of day. First place we went to was MOPoP. Museum of Popular culture. There were some incredibly well done exhibits including a Jim Henson (of muppets fame) and a history of the guitar. This museum is housed in an amazing building which at different times of the day, appears to be different colours.
Next stop was the Chihuly Gardens and Glass. Dale Chihuly was an amazing glass blower and I don't think I have ever seen such a beautiful exhibition. So hard to describe and the photos really don't do the work justice.
The next day was a drive to Bainbridge Island. I imagined when Scott said we will take the ferry, it would be a ferry similar to the Sydney ferries....passenger ferries. But no this was a huge car ferry!
So then it was my last day in Seattle...Tinker and I did the girly shopping day and hit the thrift shops. I got my gear organized for the bike and posted everything else to my friend Alan in San Diego. I won't see any of it until the 15th July. Seems a long time to just be living with what I can fit into my bike panniers!
Here's just a few more random photos of my time in Seattle.
I really had a great time in Seattle! Ate some wonderful food, the city is so beautiful and the people very friendly. Great place to people watch too!
Thankyou so much Scott and Tinker for showing me such a fabulous time. And of course it was great spending time with the two of them.
Just wow. You missing the rain wind n frosts.
